I've completed the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Training Program, and the Opening Reception for the Show of works created by students in the Mural Training Program was on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm at the Lincoln Financial Mural Arts Center at the Thomas Eakins House 1727-29 Mt. The City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program is always looking to expand its pool of professional mural artists, and offers a Mural Training Program for artists who are interested in learning how to adapt their studio painting skills to public mural making. The goal of this training is to teach artists who already have strong painting foundations the skills to work collaboratively with communities to create public art murals. The works in this exhibition were created by the students in this year’s class: Danielle Cartier, Juan Delgado, Ali Dericotte, Lauren Donnellan, Ashley Fontones, Matt Guiliano, Cornelius Hawes, Ashley Heitzman, Damara Kaminecki, Lorna Leighton, Amir Lyles,Nancy Marcus Newman, Rodney Saunders, Shannon Tomanovich, Angela Vitale. Exhibition will be on display from January 13 through February 26, 2016.Gallery hours are 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday, or by appointment.
